In Loving Memory of Nedim Quinney, Jr.

November 1, 1947 - June 7, 2020

Nedim Quinney Jr. was born on November 1, 1947, in Pineville, Louisiana, to Nedim Quinney Sr. and Ida Mae Quinney; he was the 3rd of 10 children.

Nedim accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in December of 1969, at First Church of God in Christ. Nedim had been a member for 25 years under the leadership of Pastor C. Albert Hanson.

Nedim met Delores Odem at a bus stop on the way to work, and it was love at first sight. Nedim and Delores were married, and to this union, four daughters were born: Debra, Jondalyn, Lakeya, and Dejuana.

Nedim worked for KB Towing as a Driver and Mechanic for 15 years. He enjoyed taking walks and going to the beach. Mr. Quinney was a friendly guy if you needed anything, he would be the one everyone would go to. He gave with no hesitation.

On June 7, 2020, Nedim went home to be with the Lord, and he now joins those who preceded him in death, his father Nedim Quinney Sr., mother Ida Mae Quinney, sisters: Gleonda Matthews, Marilyn Vories; and brothers: Dave Quinney, Bobbie Ray Quinney, Jimmey Quinney, and LG Calbert.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 41 years, Delores Quinney, daughters: Debra Quinney, Jondalyn Quinney, Lakeya Quinney, and Dejuana Quinney; siblings: Dorothy Clarence (Melbert), Willie Lee Quinney (Howard), and Robert Quinney, nieces: Linda Faye Daniel, and Glenda Silas, special friends: Monica Hale, Earica Love, Kevin Smith, and Zephiniah Hale. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends from Alexandria, Louisiana.
