In Loving Memory of Beddie Chaffer

March 10, 1928 - June 25, 2020

Beedie Chaffer was born on March 10, 1928, in Frankston, TX to Jasper Chaffer and Jennie V. Woffard; he was the 3rd of 12 children.

Beedie received his education in Frankston, attending GW Carver High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Beedie proudly served his country by joining the United StatesArmy on July 2, 1946, and was honorably discharged on December 7, 1946, while it was a short stint he eared the Victory Medal.

Beedie met and married Helen E. Chriss; they shared 20 years of marriage. He was employed at LAX as a Cook/Bus Bar. Beedie was a Mason. He enjoyed cooking, and he didnāt mind cooking for any and everyone. Beedie was a loving and kind man.

Those who preceded him in death were his wife Helen E. Chriss, son Kevin Gentry Chaffer and parents Jasper Chaffer and Jennie Woffard, his bothers: George Morris, Alonzo Street, Jessie Street of Texas, John Street and Calbert Street of California: sisters: Tressie Mae Brooks and Hattie Lois Watkins of Texas, and Mattie Mae Williams of California.

He leaves to cherish his memories his brothers: Troy Green of California, Ernest Street and Herdson Street of Texas, and sister Vera M. Street of Texas; his grandchildren: Judy Chaffer, Sheri Chaffer, Devin Chaffer, Vanessa Chaffer, and Jonathan Chaffer. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
